Jesse Negron, Founder

Jesse Negron

Jesse Negron earned his Masters in Film Production from UCLA in 1993. He worked as a sales specialist in film and video for manufacturers Alesis and Fairlight. In 1996, he founded RocketWerks in his Santa Clarita home with Garrard Whatley and Jeff Laity. This was quickly followed by the expansion of RocketWerks to its current Santa Monica facility in 1997.

After a few years working full-time editing and mixing independent films, he decided to follow his interests in film production. A series of film editing positions culminated in Pop and Me, a documentary which won Best Picture in the 1999 LA Independent Film Festival, and was considered for an Acadamy Award nomination. He then moved to Florida to begin production on a documentary on fighter pilot training. This project went on to become American Fighter Pilot, a reality television series he is Executive Producing which will air on CBS in March 2002. His Co-Executive Producers on the Project include Brian Gadinski (Combat Missions, America’s Most Wanted), Tony Scott (Spy Game, Top Gun), and Ridley Scott (Black Hawk Down, Gladiator).
