Garrard Whatley, President
Garrard began his filmmaking experience working for Roger Corman's Concorde/New Horizons production company in 1993. He worked on the sets of numerous independent features, first cleaning fake blood off of a studio floor before working his way up to the less unglamorous positions of grip, gaffer, set dresser, prop master, 2nd A.D., and 1st A.D. He moved into Post Production Supervising in 1995, working for CBS, ABC, and independent producers of feature films. In 1997, with Jesse Negron and Jeff Laity, he helped establish RocketWerks Post Audio and has been running it ever since. Garrard brings experience from the entire production process to help filmmakers best prepare their projects for the technical hurdles and creative possibilities of post production audio. Having personally worked on and supervised every project to come through RocketWerks, he has hands-on experience with all aspects of the process, and enjoys working with clients to find ways to help audio complement their visuals and tell the story they wish to tell. He also occasionally wears this attractive leather jacket, purchased at The Gap in November, 2000. Most recently, he was elected Honorary Mayor of Third Street Promenade by himself and two others in a closed-door ceremony that rivals have termed "unofficial." |
